๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸFish Diary๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ

Caring for a small pet, such as a fish๐Ÿ ๐ŸŸ, can provide young children with opportunity to learn more about animals firsthand. They will learn to enjoy the process of caring for it; with so many opportunities to start learning subjects like maths (how many are there?). Science, (what it eats, where it sleeps and how it moves), even literacy (as children read about animals or draw their favourite animal) and social skills like empathy, all learned through different ways of interacting with the class pet. We asked the children what kind of pet they would like to have in the preschool. Children voted by a show of hands that they wanted goldfishes. So, a small group of us went to Pets at Home to buy our new fish. We have chosen 4 and are now deciding on the names ๐Ÿค” Suggestions on a postcard please ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ
